Getting yourself into tip-top wedding-worthy condition for your big day is high up the list of essentials for every bride to be out there. From prepping your hair with the perfect cut and colour for your chosen wedding hairstyle, to giving yourself that much-needed fake tan after a long winter; there are loads of beauty appointments that you need to get booked in advance, but with so much on your plate with wedding planning trying to figure out exactly what you need can be a minefield.
If there was ever a time in your life that you want to look like ‘the very best version of you’, your wedding day is it. Boost your confidence for the big day and enjoy some well-earned pampering while you’re at it!
Here are 4 essential beauty appointments to book before your wedding day:
Hair Cut & Colour
No-one wants split ends and bad roots hanging around for their wedding day, so it’s a given that a hair cut and colour is in order before you walk down the aisle.
Whatever you do, don’t get your hair done right before the wedding day! While a fresh trim may seem like a great idea you have got to leave room for error, just in case disaster strikes at the salon. Aim to have your hair cut and coloured around 3 weeks before your big day so that there’s plenty of time to get it re-done if you need to and also time for it to ‘settle’.
Fake Tan
Most brides-to-be get a fake tan before their wedding day to really help boost that healthy glow against the white dress but getting stains on that dress from the tan rubbing off is a real concern.
As with having your hair cut and coloured, it’s a good idea to get this done a bit ahead of the actual day so that any excess has finished rubbing off. Don’t leave getting your first fake tan until you go to get yours for your wedding day! Have a few practice runs so that you know you’re 100% happy with the colour and you know how far in advance to make that appointment.
Mani/Pedi
It’s the little details that make all the difference to the perfect wedding photograph and neglected nails are one of the biggest misses out there. Easy to forget about but not easy to miss when looking back at your overall look, treat yourself to a mani/pedi before your big day to get those fingers and toes looking beautiful. You’ll be so glad you did when you get the wedding ring photos back!
Dermatologist
Flawless skin can always be achieved with fantastic Bridal Makeup, but it certainly helps boost confidence to love the skin you’re in.
Most people go through life without ever having visited a dermatologist, but seeing one really can transform your skin for the better with a new routine and products.
Do your research to find someone really great to work with and then book an appointment way ahead of time. You may want to have a few if you suffer from problematic skin.
